WEI Chair: A Modern and Elegant Leisure Chair

Measuring 700 mm x 720 mm x 700 mm, the WEI Chair is designed to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The stainless steel frame is meticulously crafted using CNC milling or die casting technology, while the seat and backrest are carefully cut from high-quality leather. Metal hangers connect the frame and seat backrest, ensuring the chair's stability and durability.

When sitting on the WEI Chair, users will experience the elastic and moderate support provided by the pure leather surface and backrest. The low back design helps relieve pressure on the lower back, promoting relaxation and comfort. The chair's design and materials have been carefully chosen to create a harmonious and functional seating experience.

The WEI Chair project began in June 2016 in Shenyang and was completed in December 2017. It was displayed in June 2018 at the museum of LuXun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang. Throughout the design process, extensive research was conducted to ensure the chair's stability, comfort, and aesthetic appeal.

Wei Jingye faced several challenges while designing the WEI Chair, including finding the perfect balance between the simple geometric form and the shape of a leisure chair. Additionally, ensuring the tensile strength of the seat and backrest, as well as the connection to the stainless steel frame, required careful consideration and innovative solutions.

The WEI Chair showcases the beauty of abstract geometry and modern design. Its sleek silver-gray stainless steel frame, combined with the black leather seat, creates a contemporary and sophisticated look. With its CNC milling processed frame and cutting production leather parts, the WEI Chair is suitable for industrial mass production without compromising on quality or style.
